http://thepinkelephantchallenge.blogspot.com/2009/05/tpe-challenge-15.html

Here is another card I made for the Monogram card challenge at Pink Elephant Challenges. Before you comment I know the S is upside down but then again it looks normal in my opinion. LOL.
Once again I used scraps from my pile. The sentiment is a wooden Kaisercraft stamp.

Cuttlebugged Gloss Stickers and Chipboard.

This weeks challenge at Cuttlebugspot is to emboss something that isn't cardstock or paper. I was in my element here but could have created forever if I had the time.
The big flower has been bugged and inked and it is a chipboard flower. The border on both the cards is a gloss sticker sheet. I have bugged it and sanded it so the design stands out. The sticker sheet I used has berries on it. They come with other designs. I love them.

The pink card and chipboard flower have been bugged and the Pearl Dabber has been all over both of them. The patterned paper is Basic Grey Infusion ans it too has been pearlised and the word love in the window.

Kaisercraft and blue, medium blue, green and white colour challenge.

Here is the card I did for the Pink Elephant Challenge. The butterfly is made from white chipboard and is from SALT as are the little flowers. I used my light blue Souffle Pen to do the squiggles and the flower centres.
The sentiment and pearls are Kaisercraft. The ribbon is unknown as I have had it for ages.
You cannot really see that I have inked the butterfly in green and light blue.

Box

Here is a box that has been decorated and is ideal to give a nice little present in. The top has bugged patterned paper that has been sanded to give that shaded appearance. Several bugged flowers have been cut out and glued onto the bugged paper. The paper mache box has been painted and patterned paper from Treehouse Memories has been glue onto the box with some ric rac added.

Wedding Card

The embossed part of this card has had gesso applied to patterned paper before it was embossed. Not only did I get rid of the ghastly colour and pattern I also added bulk to the paper, which made the embossing stand out further. I used a paint brush to apply the Gesso and hence you can see the lines. I also didn't cover it with a heavy coat as I wanted some of the colour of the patterned paper to show through. This added to the rustic appearance.
The sentiment has been bugged onto metallic cardstock and sanded.
The embossed Gessoed patterned paper is on top of gold metallic cardstock. The ribbon and flower are an unknown source.

Mother's day Card by Jessica

Here is the Mother's Day card Jessica made for her Mum for Mother's Day while she was at my place. She has it hidden in her room and when I was over there last week she showed me where she had hidden it. Jess was so proud of her artistic card for her Mum. Mel should love it as I didn't help Jess she made the creation all by herself.
Jess chose orange as it is Mel's favourite colour.

Cuttlebug Card and mixed medium

The background paper was bugged and inked with Tim Holtz Tattered Rose Distress Ink. The paper is Apple Blossom Basic Grey. All the flowers(except 2nd from bottom)Have been stencilled onto white cardstock with either a Dabber or Crackle Paint. Then cut out and adhered to the card with brads.
When you use the dies from the Cuttlebug you can use the left over part as a stencil. This is a great way to add more interest.

Ambrosia Combo Card and Kaisercraft Pearls.

When I saw the challenge for this week at Basic Grey Challenges it sang out to me "Ambrosia"-Black-Grey-Orange(Red,Yellow).I love this paper by Basic Grey. Even the clip is orange but in the photo it doesn't come out real orange.

Unscripted Sketches Card-Sketch 4

This is the card I made for the Unscripted Sketches Challenge.
It was a fun card to make and very easy. Well the sketches make it easy because you don't have to think-You have more time to create. I chose to use 2 pieces of basic Grey patterned paper instead of 2 images in the centre. My ribbon has Kindy Glitz drizzled on it. I didn't have holes in my scallop so i coloured the dots in pen.
If you haven't been to Unscripted Sketches you need to go and have a look and look at the design teams blogs as their work is inspiring.

2 more dresses made by Jessica

Here are 2 more cards made by Jessica.Notice the 2 round red balls at the top of the arms in one of the cards here?Well Jess told me int he weekend that they are puff sleeves. How original and cute. She was thrilled to see her cards on my blog on the net. She is famous. LOL.

Fabric Flowers-Cuttlebug and Stencils

Did I read fabric on the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog? I think i did and boy did I get excited. I have been playing with fabric for years-since I was 4 and used to make doll dresses. I love scraps as i can play and create. Here is a piece I have been working on for awhile. The flowers have been cut either from a Sizzixx Die or an Accu-Cut Die. The Accu-Cut die I actually put through my Cuttlebug and it cut the fabric very nicely. I have used embroidery thread to highlight parts of the flower and define it. One style of flower I have stuffed wadding into the centre and used a running stitch to pull it in and puff it out. I used an invisible pen -the colour comes out and then fades after so many days, to trace doodle lines from a Crafter's Workshop Stencil and then used stem stitch to embroider over it.
I wish I had more time to embroider as it is one of my passions.
This technique can also be used on paper or cardstock.

Kaisercraft and Tea Bag Folding

This is the card I have made for the Tea bag Folding. I have always loved this technique and was delighted when Cuttlebugspot had the challenge. This card is ideal for both a male and female.
The patterned paper is doublesided Treehouse Memories-pattern on one side and the blue on the other. I used 2 Cuttlebug Folders-the hearts to emboss and the sentiment With Love. The stamp is Kaisercraft and the ribbons are unknown.

Kaisercraft card-Cuttlebugged Mother's Day Card

I made this card for the Mother's Day Card Challenge at Cuttlebug Challenges. As you can see I have used as my base a Kaisercraft card that I bugged with tiny hearts.
The flower has been made using Spellbinders Nestabilities-Blossom. I just love flowers and this folder is a must for all flower lovers. I will be using this one to death. Every second blossom I scrunched and inked with Pinecone Versa Color inks.I even tore in some places. Every other second one I only inked. The very small flowers are from SALT and the brads are unknown.
The sentiment has also been bugged and the pearls are Kaisercraft. The ribbons and hearts are unknown.

Kaisercraft Flowers layout

Here is a quick and easy layout I did of Chloe
and I.The flowers are a double layer with a dot of pen in the centre to match in with the chipboard letters. The bigger flowers are Kaisercraft and the smaller ones are SALT. How much has our Chloe grown from then. She was only about 5 weeks old.

Kaisercraft Stamp and Dress card by Jessica

Here is another cute card made by my 6 year old granddaughter Jessica. She traced this dress pattern from a template I had onto patterned paper. I taught her to trace it from the back to eliminate any pencil lines seen on the front. She remembered this each time. She glued the dress onto the card and then drew her own person on. She punched out a flower and then glued another flower on the top to brighten the dress.
The happy birthday is stamped with a wooden Kaisercraft stamp but because she didn't stamp hard enough not all the words came out. So i told her to trace the whole sentiment with a colouring pen. She liked this idea and did it to all her cards.
I am very proud of my little granddaughter and her creativity.
