In Memory of Elissa Rose

It has been a year today since our precious little granddaughter Elissa Rose passed away into God's loving arms. Not a week goes by that I don't think of her and sometimes shed a tear for the moments we didn't spend together on Earth. I know one day we will be playing together and having so much fun. Until then, enjoy being in Heaven with your great grandparents who have passed away and love you.

I love you with all my heart.

Circular Paper Flowers

Here are 2 flowers I made much in the same way.

The one on the left was made using 4 circles of the same size.
I just scrunched each up and the top one was scrunched the most.
I just joined all layers with a brad.
The one of the right was made the same way with those used Glimmer Mist Serviettes.
The bigger circles I used 3 and scrunched a little bit. The centre was made from 3 smaller circles that have been scrunched a lot.
All circles were joined together with a brad.

Paper Flowers from Serviettes

Here is a paper flower I made from Serviettes. I made these from the class i went to at SIA when i went to the Glimmer Mist Class. Instead of throwing these out I kept them and brought them home to play and create with them.

I will do a step by step tutorial one day soon showing you how to make them.
I cut out 8 circles and folded them in half and then half again.
I pinched each along the curved circumference section and then stuck them on cardstock. I repeated this for all of the petals. I then scrunched up some more serviette left overs and glued it in the centre. I then cut out the pink cardstock so it was still showing and then glued the whole lot onto a paper doily.

Layered Flower

These flowers have been made from paper napkins-serviettes (depends on what country you are from)

I recently went to CIA and went to Wendy(the owner of Tattered Angels-Glimmer Mist Company) and Heidi's (Heidi Swapp) workshops and came away with lots of inspiration. I also came away with many used serviettes. "you know you are addicted to craft when you wait for the lady you were sitting next to to leave and you go through the bin and take her used napkins also"- used napkins meaning they were swiped over the glimmer mist to take layers off.
I made these flowers using the used napkins.
They are just layers of circles scrunched up and some flattened to give a ruffled appearance. The little ones have more layers.
The stem and leaves have been drawn freehand from the napkins .
I ran some Chrystallina Kindy Glitz over the petals.

Fabric Flowers

A small flower from a synthetic fabric with texture. I did 2x2 sizes of circles and a button.
I have used black taffeta and tulle for this one. I also used more circles.
This one is from sheer curtain fabric like a chiffon.
I made these flowers in the weekend. They are not my original ideas and I have no idea where I got the inspiration from. I apologize in advance.
I have made them all with different types of fabric. I have cut 2x various sizes of circles and heated the edges over a candle flame. I just experimented with different types of fabric. Some worked well and some didn't.
I will use these in my scrapbooks and cards. I will also do some for my fabric creations i do and even knitted objects.

Swimming Lessons

Cooper has been asking me for ages to take him to swimming lessons and see him swim. I have always been too busy. I have seen the girls swim so thought I had better go and watch him. He cried before he got in but once the teacher got him used to the water he was fine. He is only learning but cannot swim yet.
