Meeting Cooper-this photo is of Aunty Melanie and Jessica the big cousin. I have never seen Jessica so happy and she was grinning from ear to ear. She just loves babies. I can see her spoiling her little cousin with kindness. Melanie said all the way home that night it was Cooper, Cooper, Cooper. She is also happy that she is the big cousin now and not the baby cousin as she is on Gavin's side of the family.

This shows Amanda breast feeding Cooper. Amanda was surprised at the reactions of the nurses to her breast feeding. The nurses were so happy that she was going to breast feed. Amanda said the young girls didn't want to breast feed but she saw how important it was and it cost a lot less than formula and less work too. It is a lovely bonding period.

Amanda was also shocked that I would want to take a photo of Cooper breast feeding.

Amanda used to knock me for taking so many photos but she has taken a heap on her digital camera. so who is laughing now. LOL

Brian started a new job today and thank goodness to get him out of my hair. Love him dearly but hate having him around all the time watching what I am doing. What am I going to do when he retires-still plenty of time to organise something LOL. I like my own space and having somebody say " What are you eating?" then a few minutes later"What are you eating now?" got a little bit too much. Anyway he went off happily today to work. I had to get up at 6 on my day off to take him tot he train station. He will bring a company car home tonight. he is State Manager for a hot water system company that is a division of Rheem. He is happy about this position.

Meeting Cooper

I have been so busy that I haven't been on here in ages. I miss telling all my news. Anyway the most exciting news is the birth of my grandson. This is the first little boy I have had in my life as I have 2 daughters and a grandaughter.

COOPER FRANCIS ROSS
Born 17th March 2006(St Patrick's day)
Weight 7lb 3oz
Length 54cm
Time 10:45
Amanda had a c-section and was almost 2 weeks overdue. the doctor said it would be a long and painful labour and he wasn't engaged etc etc and he advised that she have a caesar. I wasn't impressed but who am I to argue with the doctor LOL. Anyway all is well and she is up and about and walking and so happy.
