Bobsy Twins

Meet the "Bobsy Twins". Choe and Cooper.Cousins but so much alike, more like brother-sister. Both dirty tomato sauce faces, scratches and bruises on their legs, blond, funny, boisterous, lovable and the list goes on.

Season's Greetings

After I cut out the shape in Basic Grey I bugged it , sanded it and then inked it so the white, green and brown shows up.

The Season's Greetings is recycled from an old card as are the red flower centres that have been sanded.

This shape I found in a piece of chipboard so I enlarged the outline on the photocopier and used it for this card. Love the shape.

Unusual Shaped Card

This card would be good to slip a lottery ticket, movie pass, gift voucher etc into.
Showing the card opened. You don't have to punch the circles into the card. It can be left plain.

Pansies are for thoughts.I always love the flower Pansy as it reminds me of my Father. He was on a job once and saw these Pansies and picked them and brought them home for me. I still have them as I pressed them and kept them from when I was around 15yrs old.

Winter Season's Greetings

Brrrrrr.. Winter

As soon as I saw this challenge I thought of Basic Grey and snowflakes.
I have bugged a piece of Basic Grey patterned paper and inked it with gold Versa Color Ink. It is matted on more Basic Grey and then on SALT cardstock.
I have used 3D Christmas ornaments on the card that I cut up. They were in a long line to throw over the Christmas Tree.

Christmas Tag

Unscripted Sketches 32. This one is a little late like a week late. Sorry I didn't get it posted before.
The Christmas Bauble has been made by layering Border Punched Cardstock that are scraps over the shape and then trimmed.

Fiskars torn Christmas Tree

Here is another fun Christmas Tree to make for a card. I used a FISKARS ruler to tear strips of patterned paper. I glued the strips onto cardstock and then on the backside drew this shape freehand and then cut it out.

The white cardstock in the card has been bugged and I used bronze Kindy Glitz to outline the sections of the tree.

Poinsettia Christmas Card

I couldn't help myself and have done 2 cards for the one challenge. I was half way through this one when the challenge came up and so have finished it for the Cuttlebug Challenge.
Be Inspired #59

I like this new folder from Oh My Crafts. It makes such a nice background. I have made several cards using it that I will show later on in the week. I found this great tutorial on the net on how to make these Poinsettias. I love all types of flowers, real ones and paper ones and so here is my version of the Poinsettia from the tutorial.

My Week

I have put a lot of cards on today as I have had a bad week this past week and couldn't get them up.

I had a cold all the previous week, it flared up on the Friday and lasted all weekend and I felt so miserable. Monday I had no voice and had to have the day off school. Tuesday I found my voice and battled at school all day. Wednesday was the year 12 Formal and I had a fabulous night. Thursday morning at 4am I woke up with a crack in my head and an instantaneous migraine. I spent from then till 2pm in agony and vomiting that many times I lost count. After that it took until 7pm before the dull pain went.
Friday I had to go down and have my heart monitor attached to see why my heart is palpitating and making me feel strange. Luckily it played up while the monitor was on. All I wanted to do on Friday was rest but I was told I needed to do things. So I did 4 loads of washing and other things. Yesterday I had the monitor off and it was so hot all day. Woke up this morning feeling awful again. I am run down.

Metallic Christmas Tree

This shows you the technique I used to make the Border Punched Christmas Trees.
This tree has been made the same way as the previous Tree. Notice I inked (Silver Versa Cube) the bugged background and used 3D Kindy Glitz without the glitz on the tree as decorations.

You don't have to put a star on the top of the tree all the time. A bow looks fine.

Christmas Tree-Punched Border Tree and Kaisercraft Stamp

I used Martha Stewart border punch for this tree. I was playing with the leftover bits from other cards and laid them on top of each other.I glued them in place then cut the tree from a triangle.Easy as.

The stamp is a wooden Kaisercraft Stamp and the background has been bugged with an Oh My Crafts Embossing folder.

Christmas cards

This one was made using the pleated ribbon on wide double sided tape. Very easy.
Here are some more Christmas cards made with the same products as the previous ones. Very easy and quick to make.

Christmas cards

Here are a variety of cards I have been playing with from the same cardstock and patterned paper. I have made about 10 and will share more during the weekend. Very simple and easy to make. It's been like a production line.

Year 12 Formal 2009

Seems like mauve was the in colour this year at the formal. Lots of the guys had mauve shirts on. I don't have many mauve things.

The formal was fantastic with views over Darling Harbour. The students looks beautiful and handsome all dressed up and grown up. I had a fabulous night and danced most the time. It is always sad to see a group leave especially when they are as special as the 2009 year 12.

Cuttlebugged Angel

Phrases Christmas Sizzix and Holly Ribbons Cuttlebug Angel

I was asked to show how I made my Angel in this link.
1.Cut square piece of paper.
2. Fold it from corner to corner so the hill fold is on the side that will face outward.

3. Fold it from the other corner to the other corner, once again a hill fold.
4. Open up and this is how the folds should look.
5. Turn the paper over and fold down the middle. This should only be done once.
6. Turn over and squeeze the ends inwards.
7. Fold the top flap down.
8. Fold the other top flap down.
Then decorate as desired as an angel or Christmas tree etc.
HINT
I bugged it when I had done all the folding.

Christmas Ornaments Christmas Tree Card

I made these cards the same way as the black ones I showed on here previously. I love these ornaments and it is now my new favourite folder.

FOIL embossed card

I have these sheets of metallic foil that has a sticky back. I bugged the foil, pulled the sticky back off and laid it on my cardstock. I then lightly sanded it. The metallic film has a star design on it already and embossing it with the star folder made it more " starry."
