Sizzix Christmas Set #2

This is a very quick and easy card.

I bugged the Sizzix folders and inked the bigger one with Brown Versa Color Ink.
Bugged the smaller Sizzix Holy leaves and glued them in place.
Put some Kaisercraft pearls in spots.
Triple matted the card and there you have it.

Christmas Wrap-5

I like this Christmas Wrap it is very colourful.

I glued the paper to the card then sent it through the Cuttlebug.
I sanded it.
Then I cut out some extra trees and glued them on top.

Donna-

Donna I tried to send you a message but there was no e-mail or anything to respond. Yes it is the same person. We were on the same Yahoogroup. I still keep in touch with a few of the ladies from there.

You sent me some lovely Anne of Green Gables souvenirs.
Please let me know how I can get in touch.

Sizzix Christmas Set #2

The Pink Elephant Challenge #46

Once again I used my new Sizzix Christmas set for the tree. These little embossing folders are so handy. I have lightly inked the embossed tree.
I used my Martha Stewart border punch to do the lacework.
The ribbon is sitting on patterned paper that has been pleated.
PRODUCTS USED
SALT cardstock
Basic Grey paper
Versa Color Ink
Candy Cane embossing folder
Cuttlebug

Sizzix Christmas Set #2

Unscripted Sketches 36

My friend Libby gave me this Sizzix set for a Christmas present. She knows how much I love texture. Thank you Libby.
The Joy sentiment was done with the small embossing plate in the set. Love it.
I have used my new favourite technique again-Christmas Wrap. I am like a dog with a bone when I find something I like. LOL.
I have used my Fiskars Metal ruler to do the curve and I then glued the paper to the card.
I put it through the Cuttlebug.
I sanded the paper part but inked the cardstock side.
I cut a few extra trees from the paper and glued them on plus punched some stars.
To finish the card off I have Kindy Glitzed it.

Christmas Wrap Card-3

The patterns and colour schemes are endless with Christmas wrap. The poinsettia was from a bunch I bought for a decoration and I attacked it also for my cards.

Christmas Wrap Card-2

This is another card made the same way as the previous card. These wraps are so versatile with the Cuttlebug and opens a whole new avenue for patterns and text and designs. Love them. So look out cards all year round for birthdays etc.

Christmas Wrap cards

Here is another card I made using Christmas Wrap. This time I adhered the wrap to the card and then Cuttlebugged it. Then I sanded and inked it.

Foil embossed card

This card has been made with foil that has been bugged and sanded. I like the shine of the foil and the sanding adds some contrast.

Ou La La-necklace

This was taken on my last day at school-yipeeeeeeI am now officially on school holidays. Hence, I look tired.I was also about to go out to meet my friends Glenda and libby for dinner at Winston Hills Pub.
This lovely necklace was given to me for a Christmas present from one of my special year 7 students. It is so me.

Kreative Blog Award.

It's a Kreative Blog award. Thank you so much Libby
So there are some things I am to do to receive this illustrious award - some rules to keep it growing:

1. Copy picture and post on your blog
2. Thank the person who gave it to you and link to their blog
3. Write 7 things about yourself we don't know:

1.I love creating.I think everybody who knows me knows that one.
2.I love the rain. It is raining now and it has cooled the air and I love the sound.
3. I love playing scrabble and backgammon.
4. I love red wine especially Shiraz and Merlot. I am now in love with sparkling Shiraz.
5. I am so in need to retire-not my mind but my body.I might change my mind after I have a good holiday.
6. I love teaching and seeing the knowledge gained by students and the confidence.
7. I love my family.

Just a simple card that takes minutes to make. Thanks to the Cuttlebug.

Cuttlebugged Stickers

I bugged these white stickers and inked them. However, when you bug them you have to make sure they are in the correct spot to line up with the bugged background.

Because these stickers are shiny/gloss i have had to use Staz-on ink to highlight them.
These were fun to do.

Metallic Foil Cuttlebugged Card.

I sanded the metallic Christmas wrap after I had bugged it. Easy as.

I used a Kaisercraft Wooden stamp for the sentiment.

I bought this metallic wrapping foil to wrap Christmas Presents. It bugs and sands very nicely. I can see us all hoarding all our Christmas wrap.

Joy card

Unscripted Sketches 35

Here is another card made for the Unscripted Sketches. This is a great way to get your Christmas cards made.
I used the Cuttlebug to do the background on the red which has been inked. I also used it to do the background stripes on the green and inked it again.
Joy was stamped using a Making Memories foam stamp and the pearls are Kaisercraft.

Cooper and Jessica sitting on a sandstone seat.
Jessica helping her sister down the slippery dip.
Chloe

3 Grandchildren

Whose idea was it to mind 3 grandchildren at once? Brian's. LOL. They were fine. I was worn out.

We took them up to Brian's mother's place for the weekend and took them to this amazing park where they played for 2 hours. We also had dinner there. Wore them out. All children were in bed by 7:30.

Chloe and Cooper "Whoe and Woop"

My 2 darlings playing in Jess's cubby house that Brian made many years ago. These 2 love it.

Origami Flower-2

I glitzed the card up with Chrystallina Kindy Glitz because it looked a little dull.

Here is another version of the Origami Flower. The different colour combos of the petals will make each of these unique.

Origami Flower

The background has been bugged with a folder from Oh My Crafts and inked.

The patterned paper is Basic Grey
The leaves have been punched.

And yet another flower tutorial;)
I was googling the origami flower that was made by Joey, my special student that featured in my previous post when I came across this tutorial by the very talented Helen Croft. It was the same petal formation but a different way of assembling the petals. Love them both. I sat and made heaps of these petals yesterday at lunch time. Here are 2 cards I have made already with this technique. Thanks Helen for the inspiration to change my other version.

Recycled Tin

For You: Christmas Gifts

I found this container in my cupboard empty. I have bugged a piece of patterned paper for the bottom part. Stamped a piece with a Keisercraft wooden stamp and have added more patterned paper and ribbon.
I have used Gel Medium to glue everything onto my tin.
The flower at the top is an Oragami flower that a very special student of mine made for her HSC last year. She made hundreds of them and gave me a few. I have painted it green and inked the tips with red and rubbed Kindy Glitz on the petals.
I have pulled one of these flowers apart and will show you how to make it later on.

Red, White, Blue,Green

I still love the red, white, blue and green combo for Christmas. Just call me a traditional girl.

I bugged the white and then bugged the patterned paper the opposite way.
The flowers are 3 layers and the middle one is curled on all the petals and popped up.

Christmas Bauble

Last year Cooper jumped on my reindeer's and pounced around the room. This year he drapes the gold pearls around his neck.

I was just playing with my camera and took this photo of me doing the tree.

Cuttlebug Christmas.

Basic Grey patterned paper
Cuttlebug

Crop-o-dial to put the holes in the page.

I love Christmas trees and there are so many different ways to represent them. This one was made using 3 triangles of different patterned paper.

The tag has been bugged and inked. The triangles have been bugged and sanded.
