Stars and Stripes

We don't celebrate 4th July here in Australia and the words stars and stripes don't have the same meaning as they do in USA. So I took the Aussie approach and made a card using stars and stripes. I decided to do the stipes with the Cuttlebug and then inked the stripes created by the Bug. The stars are a mix of foam and Hero Art Stamped ones. The ribbon and sentiment are an unknown source and the patterned paper. The cardstock is from SALT.

Red and Black Colour Combo

The challenge at Pink Elephant this week is a colour combo of your choice. I am in a red mood at the moment. Red is one of my favourite colours along with blue. However, red and black it is. Now if I was a female teacher way back I would not be allowed to wear red, black or red and black to school to teach in. it was supposed to turn the young boys on. However, I often wear these 2 colours and I doubt it has had any effect. LOL.
Products Used:
Red and black cardstock by SALT
Basic Grey Patterned paper
Charcoal Versa Color inks
Spellbinders Labels Four
Cuttlebug and folders
Martha Stewart border punch
Kaisercraft Pearls
Flower punch

NOTE

Nestabilities Flower Card

Here is a card I made the other night while baby sitting. It follows the sketch for The Pink Elephant Challenge. I have used 2 different shades of orange. The bugged paper is Scrapbooking Australia and has a blue tint through it hence the blue semi -circle and flower etc.The flower has been made from the Spellbinders Nestabilities called Peony. I used the 3 smallest dies to create this 3D flower. I cut half way up one side and then overlapped the flower along the sides and glued back into the original shape but smaller. Hence it curves. The flower centre has a Kaisercraft pearl and the sentiment is a Making Memories rub on. I have had the lace for ages.

Once again I used scraps from my pile. The sentiment is a wooden Kaisercraft stamp.

Monogram DAD card

Here is a male card for your special DAD. I have used staz-on ink to stamp DAD onto these lovely Italian tiles. The rest are scraps from my pile.
