Sketch card

Here is another red and black card made for another challenge.
Products Used:
Red and black SALT cardstock
Basic Grey patterned paper
Sewing Machine
Kaisercraft pearls
Sanding block
Flower punch
Charcoal Versa Color Ink
Sentiment and ribbon unknown.
Cuttlebug and folders
Spellbinders Curved Rectangles.

Red and Black Colour Combo

The challenge at Pink Elephant this week is a colour combo of your choice. I am in a red mood at the moment. Red is one of my favourite colours along with blue. However, red and black it is. Now if I was a female teacher way back I would not be allowed to wear red, black or red and black to school to teach in. it was supposed to turn the young boys on. However, I often wear these 2 colours and I doubt it has had any effect. LOL.
Products Used:
Red and black cardstock by SALT
Basic Grey Patterned paper
Charcoal Versa Color inks
Spellbinders Labels Four
Cuttlebug and folders
Martha Stewart border punch
Kaisercraft Pearls
Flower punch
Kaisercraft Pop dots
Stamp sentiment and ribbon unknown
Sanding block
NOTE
The patterned paper has been sanded after it has been bugged.
The flower has been inked after it has been bugged.

Kaisercraft and Spellbinders

Here is another and final card in the same series. This time I just cut the smallest Nested Flower from the Be Blessed Patterned Paper and outlined it with a mauve souffle pen. A few Kaisercraft pearls and you have a card.

Kaisercraft and Nested Flower Card

Here is another card I made using the same products as the previous card. However, with this one I embossed the Nested Flower die instead of cutting it out.
The sentiment is a wooden Kaisercraft stamp.
HINT
Read the sandwich instructions for all the dies, folders and different machines. I was having trouble getting things to emboss with my Spellbinders and Cutlebug machine until I read the instructions. LOL. Typical me, always in a hurry.

Shapeabilities Nested Flower card

I love these folders from Spellbinders. This is a quick and easy card but with the Nested Flowers it looks more intricate.
Products Used:
Spellbinders Shapeabilities Nested Flowers
Be Blessed Patterned Paper
Kaisercraft Wooden Stamp
Purple Versafine ink
Prima purple flower
Cuttlebug and heart folder
Sandpaper block
Purple Cardstock from SALT
Method
I Cut the 3 flower parts out first using the Spellbinders die and the Cuttlebug.
I then ran the 3 flowers through the cuttlebug again and embossed them.
I only sanded the middle petal and because it has a white back the white came through to give it interest.
I shaped the petals slightly to give it a 3D effect.
The rest is self explanatory.

Another card designed by me.

Here is another of those cards that I designed from an inspiration I got from packaging.

Products Used:
Pink Cardstock
Be Blessed Patterned Paper
Kaisercraft Wooden Stamp
Sizzix Flower Die
Brown Versa Color Ink
Pop Up Tape
SALT Brad
Method:
This is self explanatory I think by looking at it. An easy card to make and assemble once you trace it out and cut it. Just make sure when you trace the curved shape you think before you cut so it goes on the correct way.
The flower comes in 3 parts in this one I have inked the edges and put a brad through it to hold it in place.
The sentiment has been popped up.

Libby's cards

Look at the 2 cards Libby sent me in our May swap. Aren't they beautiful? I was very lucky to have received them. I love texture and have always loved it and this is why I love the Cuttlebug.Even with sewing i always go towards the fabric that has texture.

Black and White

A stamp and black and white cardstock makes a card. I did use a Martha Stewart border punch. I also used some Kindy Glitz, a wooden Kaisercraft stamp, ribbon and some colouring in pencils and glue. These 2 cards are what emerged.

Flower from Samina

These beautiful flowers plus a frame with my favourite verse and a lovely note were sent along to me from one of my precious students of 08 yr 12 Biology class to let me know she was thinking of me during the loss of my precious granddaughter Elissa. How beautiful and thoughtful. It made me feel so special and thankful for all the years of teaching and the thoughts of what I have gotten out of teaching-belief in the modern generation, love and respect. I love these kids, they make me feel so valued. What I am going to do when I retire???? Hold onto my precious memories.

Scalloped card

Oh I wish it was summer here in Australia instead of cold winter. I hate being cold. The Cuttlebugspot Challenge has a card challenge based on SUMMER.I made this card a few minutes ago using a variety of techniques and products.
Products Used:
Spellbinders Scalloped Circle both as a cut and an emboss.
Coredinations Chocolate Box Cardstock
Kaisercraft pearls
SALT flower
Chocolate Versa Color Ink
Stamp and ribbon unknown.
Gel Medium for glue.
Method
I folded the card and then placed the die just over the fold so when I cut it the fold is not cut out.
I then cut and embossed a piece of Chocolate Box coredinations cardstock.
I peeled back a layer of each scallop to expose the apricot colour underneath. I also pressed with my fingers the peeled scallops and it looks like little circles around.
I then glued everything else in place. The sentiment was stamped and I ran over it with a brown pen.The edges have been inked.

Father's Day card

Here is the card I made for Father's Day. We don't celebrate Father's Day until September here in Australia.
Products Used:
Spellbinders Curved Rectangles for card shape and insert.
Cuttlebug script folder for texture
Sepia Versafine ink
Goudy Stout font on microsoft
Chipboard stars from SALT
Dimensional Magic on top of stars.
Ribbon unknown
Gel Medium as glue.
HINT
The card was cut from the Spellbinders. I folded the card first and while it was folded positioned the Spellbinders Die over the top with the top of the die off the fold of the card. This allows you to cut the card in the shape desired but leaving the fold edge uncut.

Designed by Me

This is a card I designed by me. I originally got the inspiration from the folder that photos come in. It looked interesting so I made up this card.
Products Used:
Bazzill Cardstock
Basic Grey Infuse
Cuttlebug
7Gypsies circle punch
Gel Medium
HINT
When cutting out the 2 curved strips make sure you think before you cut as you have to get the curves going the correct way.
I bugged the card from twice as it is too long to go through once.I put the card in one way and then turned it around and sent it through the other way to cover the whole from. The Happy Birthday was popped up.
You never know where you will get your inspiration so always keep an eye open especially junk mail and packaging.

Cuttlebug, Sizzix and Kaisercraft

I quite like this card and the colour combination. The flower was made by using the Sizzix. The petals are cut in 3 pieces and you put them together however you like.I put a brad in mine to hold them together. I cut them out of coredinations cardstock. I then ran it through the Cuttlebug and used the small hearts folder. It was then sanded to give the tone on tone appearance. One edge of the card was punched using a Martha Stewart edge punch. I used a black gel pen to freehand the scallops down the edge of the card. The sentiment is a wooden Kaisercraft stamp. i used Charcoal Versa Cubes to ink.

Lunch

Melanie, Chloe and I went out for lunch today and we had a lovely meal at the restaurant at Flower Power. I had Moroccan Chicken and it was sitting on Cuss Cuss and it wasn't the fine one but a large size one. Melanie had lamb shanks and Chloe had chips. We both had cake and coffee afterwards.
It was so nice to be out with Melanie and Chloe. We went and picked Jessica up from school and to see the smile on her face when she saw me made me feel so special. I just love my family.
I came home to a little grandson who was also excited to see me.

Elissa Rose Card

This is the card I made for Elissa Rose. Melanie has it now to put in her album. I wish it was a card to welcome Elissa into this world. However, it is to welcome her into Heaven.
The butterfly has been cut and embossed with the Cuttlebug and inked. The letter E is a chipboard letter from SALT. The pearls are Kaisercraft.

With Sympathy Card

A colleague has just lost a life long family friend so I made a card for her so she knew somebody cared. Often when we lose people that mean a lot to us others don't think how hard it is.
This card was bugged half way up the K and Co patterned paper and the barrier has a ribbon. The sentiment is unknown.

Flowers

Look at the lovely flowers the 4x4 club sent us in sympathy of our little Elissa Rose. How thoughtful and kind. They made my day.
I had a bad day at school yesterday-not re school but due to all that has happened here and Monday night Amanda was very upset and had something horrible done to her by her boyfriend. As a mother you feel for your children. If I was Amanda I wouldn't want anything to do with the ----- but it is her life and she has to make her own decissions. I was was very disillusioned as I thought he as a nice person. So when I arrived at school yesterday morning I was in an angry mood and one poor teacher was in the wrong place at the wrong time or for me it was the right place at the right time. I let out all my heartache to her and she was so nice and comforting. It was somebody I don't have a lot to do with as she is in another department. At lunch time she came down to my staffroom with a cake to cheer me up. How thoughtful and kind. Then on my desk was a card and a box of chocolates form a very thoughtful yr 11 student. All these things made my day and helped me ease some pain. It also gave me some appreciation for mankind-there are thoughtful, caring people out there.
I have received some lovely cards, e-mails and support from so many of my friends and Internet friends. I am truly blessed. Thank you everybody for your support.

Elissa Rose

In loving memory of my granddaughter Elissa Rose
