Cooper

Check out Cooper's new shoes his mother bought him. They cost $60. Here he is about to go out to lunch with his mother. He loves going out. He also has a new T-shirt on.

Melanie's Birthday

It was Melanie's birthday yesterday and today I had the family over for a bar-be-que. We all had a swim in the pool and the kids had a ball. Melanie and Brian were not feeling too well. Gavin was king of the kids. Cooper loved having his 2 cousins "Jetz" and " Dolley" over. Amanda had to work all day. All the people who have asked how she is, she is fine. Thanks for your concern. Her girlfriend is physically OK but has a big bill to pay.

Button Challenge

Here is another card I made last night for the Cuttlebugspot Button Challenge. http://thecuttlebugspot.blogspot.com/2009/02/cute-as-button.html
Here goes my purple theme again. The big button on the card is a chipboard one that has been covered in patterned paper and inked with a Kaisercraft stamped sentiment. Because there is a button I thought it best to keep with the haberdashery theme and glue lace and ric rac to the card as well. The smaller buttons are Bazzill ones.

Kaisercraft and Cuttlebug Challenge #20

Here is the card I made last night based on Valerie Salmon's sketch at Cuttlebug Challenges. I used a variety of things on this card. The patterned paper and the white flower are from Kaisercraft as is the stamped Happy Birthday. I used my Fiskars ruler to trace the scallop and then hand cut out. I used my Crop-o-dial for the holes and Maya Road flower stamp to make the black flower that I stamped on white and hand cut out behind the white flower.
There are 3 Cuttlebug folders used for this card. My ever favourite swirls( on the black cardstock), the white leaves are bugged and a portion of them cut out and With Love has been sectioned from the border folder.
I had a lot of fun making this card. Thanks Valerie for the inspiration. I am liking these sketches now.

Cupcake Craft Challenge

The backgroud strip has been bugged and inked. The patterned paper is Treehouse Memories and the gems are Kaisercraft.
I stamped a flower on the mauve square without reinking as a background.
This challenge was taken from a card map.
I am enjoying these challenges as they are making me do things I don't usually do.

Kaisercraft Stamps-Pink Elephant Challenge Card

My 2 favourite items at the moment are my Cuttlebug and Kaisercraft Stamps. So I have used both on this card. The little flowers have been stamped with Kaisercraft Stamps as has the flourish. The cardstock is Bazzill and the patterned paper is Basic Grey. The bling is also Kaisercraft and there are hints of Kindy Glitz in the flowers.
Notice the border Cuttlebug on the bottom of the patterned paper.

A group of friends at the wedding

This is my group of friends I have been friends with since early 1987. We do a lot as a group.
Left to Right.
Roger, Helen, Ed, Jenny, David, Julie, Brian, Rose-Anne.

Cuttlebugged Patterned Paper.

This little pink card was made like the others. I bugged the patterned paper and slightly sanded it. The white inked circle is chipboard from SALT and the flower was stamped on the patterned side of the paper with pinecone ink and cut out by hand. I bought the butterfly from a cheap shop-I ended up getting 3 different colours and style. The pearl is a Kaisercraft product.

Cuttlebug Waterwash Crayons card and Doily

Firstly I rubbed the waterwash crayons all over the doily. I then washed it with a wet brush and watched the colours run into themselves and become paler. When it was dry I rubbed Kindy Glitz into the doily and stuck it to the card. The centre is a Nestabilities and a bugged sentiment.

Treehouse Memory Patterned Paper

I love the range of Treehouse Memory Patterned Paper. It is double sided-pattern on one side plain on the other. It is classic and not seasonal or trendy. The pearls are Kaisercraft, chipboard letters are SALT. The pink flowers have been cut from a Sizzix Machine and covered with paper and sanded. The brown flowers have been stamped with a Maya Road stamp and hand cut. The small flowers are also from SALT.

Amanda

Look at my beautiful daughter Amanda on the right and her best friend Sarah also beautiful on the left.

This photo was taken on Friday night,a few hours before their dreadful car crash. I felt uneasy about them driving down to Wollongong as the road can be treacherous especially in bad weather like it was on Friday night. They got almost to the Wollongong turnoff when It started to pour and Sarah couldn't see in front of her and mistook the truck ramp for the turn off and hit gravel and rolled the car. Luckily she was quick thinking otherwise the passenger side would have hit the concrete guard-I don't want to think about it. Anyway, the car rolled and landed on its bonnet. The girls and the guys in the back had to climb out through the broken front window. The police and ambulance came and took Amanda and Sarah to hospital. They got out without a scratch. Unbelievable. Even their beautiful dresses were unmarked. The Police and Ambulance told the girls they were lucky to be alive.Amanda phoned us at 11 from the hospital. Don't you just hate that dreaded phone call. She had already organised for another friend to come and pick her up as she knew Friday night was our drinking night. Brian and I have a bottle of wine of a Friday night with our meal.
Thank you God for saving my daughter and her best friend. He sure does work in magical ways.
Moral of the story" Love your family and be thankful and appreciative of them."

Cuttlebug Heart card with Sizzix

I made the card the same way as the previous one from the scraps I found. The heart has been cut from a Sizzix machine and the smaller heart is a Cuttlebug small embossing folder design that I hand cut. The ribbon is Basic Grey. The Sweet has been outlined with an embossing pen.

I used 3 Cuttlebug folders on this card.

Cuttlebug and Fiskars Punch

I found some scraps of cardstock that were 9 x 21cm so I decided to make a few cards with them. I folded the card as seen here and while it was folded i put it through the Cuttlebug. hence it is bugged all over, inside and outside with positive and negative textures. I inked it with Pinecone Versa Color and then Red.The square has been punched from a scrap of Coredinations card and sanded. The sentiment is also a Cuttlebug image from the border.

Wedding

Yesterday Brian and I went to my very good friend Helen and Roger's son's wedding. It was in a beautiful old church and the reception was at Mt Annan Gardens. It was such a lovely day and the wedding was fantastic.
Here is a photo of Helen and I with Jenny and Julie behind us. We are all friends. Helen and I have been friends since early 1987. She has always been there for me.

Fun Times Mini Album

I made this mini album with the students at school and they had a ball. However, a few got confused when they had to reverse the shape of the patterned paper to cover the chipboard. This is because it is an odd shape. The flower on the cover is made from chipboard, covered in patterned paper, sanded, inked and a layer of Gel Medium over the top to give it that shiny appearance.

The paper is Making Memories and the cardstock is Bazzill. The little flowers were made using a stamp and ink on Bazzill and cut out with some Kindy Glitz in the centre. The ric rac is Papercraft, ring is Kaisercraft and the fibres and ribbons are assortments.

Kaisercraft Pearls- Purple Card

The cardstock is Bazzill. The paper is
Making Memories. I stamped the flowers with purple ink onto the Bazzill and cut them out. They are Maya Road Stamps. I then used Gel Medium to glue them in place and put a pearl in the Centre. I love Kaiser Pearls.

Cuttlebug Miniature Again

This embossed background has been done with the Cuttlebug but not a Cuttlebug Folder. I got these folders from Crafty Kids many years ago and have never used them. Now I have my bug I just run them through . I must write down which sandwhich I use. I have about 6 folders. So keep tuned in to see which ones I use next.
The ribbon is Bazzill and the flower unknown.

Kaisercraft Stamps and Miniature Card

I love Kaisercraft Stamps and my Cuttlebug. What else does a girl need?

Cuttlebugged Miniature Card

Another 10x10cm card made from scraps. The Happy Birthday has been cut from the Cuttlebug word folder and inked in Charcoal. The Patterned paper is glitzy.

All that Glitters Challenge

Here is the card I am entering in the All that Glitters Challenge at The Pink Elephant Challenge Blog. The Card is Bazzill and the Patterned Paper is Making Memories. I stamped with Maya Road stamps onto the patterned paper with purple ink. I then spread Kindy Glitz all over the flowers and cut out some circles and inked around the edges for the centres. The sentiment is an unknown stamp.

Cuttlebugged Altered Box

I have this little box that is made from recycled cardboard and it is acid free. You can put memo nores in it or make a mini album-take your pick.

I painted it roughly to begin with and then used Treehouse Memories Patterned Paper to cover it. This paper is double sided and I used the plain colour on the top and it has been bugged and sanded. I cut out flowers from the other side of this paper and glued in place. The stamp sentiments are Kasisercraft stamps and the Ric Rac is a Papercraft product.

Cuttlebug Miniature Thank You Card

Here is another miniature card from a 10 x10 cm card. I used a paint chip for the bugged piece that has been sanded. The metal part of the flower had a long stem but I cut it off. The sentiment is a Kaisercraft Stamp.

Cuttlebug Miniature Birthday Card

This is another miniature card I made. I bugged the candle folder and then cut around one of the candles and used it for my miniature card.

I inked it and then put Chrystallina Kindy Glitz in the flame. The sentiment is a Kaisercraft Stamp.
