This is the only photo I have of Gavin at our family Christmas. You can see Melanie and Jessica with him and Amanda opposite.

I always tend to catch them with food in their mouths. I did the same at their wedding and other functions. It is always a joke about me doing this.

This is Amanda and Craig. Amanda is my younger daughter.

They were looking at a present Craig was given.

It is hard to get photos of Amanda as she hates having her photo taken. I was lucky here.

This is a photo of Brian and I. I always like a photo taken of both of us at Christmas. Just face it I like to take photos period. LOL.

These decorations were done by Jessica. Melanie cut the shapes out and while Amanda was minding Jess she got her to decorate them. Jess used the glitter glue pens I gave her for Christmas and without any help from Amanda did this. She was so proud of herself and even more proud when they were put on her tree. Well done Jessica.

I think creativity runs in our family-I am still working on Amanda. She has it but doesn't realise it. One day she will shine through with her artistic talents.

My little Jessica in front of our Christmas tree. Most of the decorations have been made by either Amanda when she was young or by me. I love hand made Christmas decorations.

This is is Jessica's 3rd Christmas and she really knows what it is all about now and has beens o excited. This is what Christmas is all about, besides Jesus's Birthday.

Me showing off the tables for Christmas lunch with the family. We had this before Christmas Day as we will not be spending it with the whole of Brian's family this year.

I always like a photo taken every year of me during the festive season.

Another busy and happy day. I took my time getting up this morning as I didn't want to over do it. Picked Amanda up and we went to the Christmas party at Pecky's. Had a good time.
Dropped off some things at Mel's but she wasn't there as she forgot we were coming.
Went around to my dear friend Deb's for a few hours and few glasses of scotch on the rocks. We always have a wonderful time together telling each other our day, any problems we have had, school, family and whatever is bothering us or whatever is making us happy. In other words we talk about everything. The best part about talking to Debbie is she listens to me and I listen to her. We don't judge or critise each other for the mistakes we have made along the way. We all need good freinds like this.

Today was my last day of school for 2005. I am so glad as I am tired and need a good rest. We had a good day. One of my yr 12s,Fabie came to see me. It was nice chatting to her. Then we opened our secret santa presents and I received a long pottery I think water jug. It had lots of fantales in it and a little bear sitting on the top. Then we went to the big staff Christmas lunch which was OK and then the goodbye speeches and then another secret santa.I received a Christmas Hamper from my secret buddy.
It was a very hot day and I haven't been affected like this in a long time. I felt I was going to pass out all the way home in the car because it was so hot. I got inside, stripped and went for a swim and drank a bottle of beer in the pool. I just sat and felt so strange as I think I had heat stroke. Had a sleep and then the young girl from up the road came daown to get some scrapbooking things for Christmas.
Didn't do much the rest of the night.

This is the Christmas card I made for special friends this year. Nothing fancy but it was well received at the crop I demonstrated Christmas cards at down at Wollongong.

Yes another Christmas tree. I made this card at Dorothy's also yesterday. I had fun doing it. The buttons are just glued onto the paper. The lace is plastic lace that I bought a long time ago and I have decided to use up all my stores of goods. Like everybody else I have too much.

This is one of the cards I made yesterday at Dorothy's place. The flower is made out of chipboard, painted and inked. The pink paper and cardstock is Japanese.

Had a lovely day today. I had to go tot he shops to buy a present for a sceince teacher who is leaving. When I left the shopping centre I decided to go to Wollongong a different way because I was sick of the usual way. it did take a lot longer but it was nice to have a change. I think we all need changes in our life so we do not procrastinate.
I had a lovely day with Dorothy and played all day. I achieved making 3 cards and had many more started. However, just being able to chat with a dear freind was so relaxing and peaceful.
Tomorrow is my last day at school. I am so looking forward to it as I am very tired at the moment.
I will scan my cards in another day when i have time.
Until tomorrow.

This is the paper bag book I did as a demonstration at Pecky's. I do volunteer work with the disabled. My friend Glenda, manages the centre and organised me to go in and do scrapbooking as a craft. I get so much satisfaction out of helping these lovely people.

If you want to help or give a donation to the centre please contact me.

I had a fantastic day today. I went to the post office and received a fantastic Christmas present from my very dear friend in America,Rhonda Johnson. There were so many goodies in it, an Elvis presley DVD, gorgeous photo frame, book, stickers, a lovely table runner which I absolutely adore, Candles, fibre braid and the list goes on. I will take a photo and post it here.
I then picked up Amanda and we drove along the new highway called M7 to Melanie's place. Amanda minded Jessica while Melanie and I went out to lunch and had a business meeting. We had a plate of seafood, a bottle of wine and coffee. The restaurant was at Norwest and on the man-made lake. I could do this every day.
We went back to Melanie's and stayed a little while longer. Then Amanda and I went to a Nutri-metics Christmas party.
I arrived home 12 hours after I left and was very tired but satisfied after having a wonderful day with my family.

Once again the card was made out of Bazzill metallics and the round circles were stained with ink and made from Bazzill Chipboard. All products came from our business.

I think it is obvious that i like Christmas trees.

This Christmas Tree card was made from Bazzill Metallic Cardstock and a variety of ribbons and ric rac. The star was punched out of metal shim.Because the card was metallic I used Staz-on ink to stamp Happy Christmas and to shade around the edges.

I love Christmas trees.

Why Welcome to My World?

I am an Elvis Presley fan from way back and what better title than an Elvis song, which is very appropriate. I will include the words here and see for yourself how appropriate it is.

Welcome to My World
Sung by Elvis Presley

Welcome to my world,
Won't you come on in
Miracles, I guessStill happen now and then
Step into my heart
Leave your cares behind
Welcome to my world
Built with you in mind
Knock and the door shall be open
Seek and you will find
Ask and you'll be given
The key to this heart of mine
I'll be waiting there
With my arms unfurled
Waiting just for you
Welcome to my world
Welcome to my world

This is a professional photo shoot of my darling little grandaughter Jessica, Melanie and I.

Monday19th December2006

This is the first entry into my blog. I have no idea what I am doing but hope to learn along the way. I hope this will be fun.

Only 1 more school day until the end of the year and a well deserved break. My year 12 Senior Science class did exceptionally well in the HSC and I am so excited about their results. 2 band 6s and 5 band 5s. Yipee.

We have already had our family Christmas dinner and we had 21 people here. Wasn't too hot. We had roast turkey and pork and several salads including caesar, potato, asparagus(fresh), advocado and mango, and seafood extender salad. All this was followed with plumbpudding and home made custard.Christmas day will be with a small gathering of family up in Cairns. I can hardly wait to go as I have never been to Cairns.
